This course is for anyone interested in learning more about the design and planning phases for wired and wireless installations. The installations could be local area networks, wide area OSP and wireless networks and data center installations. The course looks at the considerations designers and planners should consider at a high level.
From the initial project engagement to planning steps for designing infrastructure systems in various environments this course helps the student gain a deeper understanding. It discusses designer roles and responsibilities, project cycles and who’s involved, as well as considerations for the specification and bid.
A general knowledge of common terms with regards to cabling would be advantageous, however no pre-requisite experience is necessary.
Comprised of a webcast containing interactive audio and visual elements this course is completed online.
